Concierge Primary Care

Does This Sound Like You?

You want a concierge primary care relationship such as same physician, longer visits, easier access but you’re looking for more than a polished version of standard care.

You’ve outgrown a model where each annual is another fast checklist and your labs come back “in range” with no real interpretation.

You manage one or more chronic conditions and want a physician who is actually tracking the trend, not just the latest number.

You’re curious about advanced lab work including ApoB, fasting insulin, hormonal panels, inflammatory markers and want a clinician who will interpret it in context.

You want one physician relationship that holds primary care, prevention, and longevity work together, instead of fragmenting your care across separate practices.

Halo's Concierge Primary Care

Halo is a physician-led concierge practice built around three layers of care that operate inside the same membership relationship: standard primary care, sick visits during defined office hours, and an integrative, longevity-focused layer that runs underneath both. Most concierge practices stop at the first two. The third is what makes the model different.

Primary Care

Halo’s concierge primary care covers what you would expect from any high-quality concierge practice. Annual exams are longer and more thorough than a standard insurance-driven physical. There is actual time to talk through history, current symptoms, and what has changed since the last visit.

Chronic condition management including blood pressure, cholesterol, prediabetes or diabetes, thyroid, mood, sleep is handled within the same physician relationship rather than referred out.

Ongoing oversight is the part that most distinguishes a concierge primary care relationship from standard primary care. Refills don’t fall through the cracks. Lab follow-up is tracked. Referrals, when they’re needed, are coordinated and explained rather than dropped on you to navigate.

Sick Visits

Halo is a preventive and longevity-focused practice first, but acute illness is part of the picture. When you’re sick, members can reach the practice during business hours and request an appointment. Same-day or next-day availability for acute concerns is offered when the schedule and the clinical situation allow.

A few important boundaries:

  • Office hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
  • A weekend sick-care window operates from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. on Saturdays and Sundays via dedicated voicemail; messages are reviewed and returned by a provider when clinically appropriate.
  • Halo does not provide 24/7 access, after-hours coverage, or emergency services. Anyone experiencing a medical emergency should call 911 or go to the nearest emergency department.

This model is designed to handle the full range of routine acute illness like respiratory infections, GI issues, minor injuries, urgent symptom evaluation, within a continuous physician relationship. It is not a substitute for urgent care or emergency room access.

Concierge Primary Care

Integrative Medicine

The integrative layer is what most patients searching for “concierge primary care” don’t realize they’re walking into when they reach Halo. It’s also the reason most members stay.

Standard primary care is built around screening guidelines designed to detect disease that has already started. Halo layers something earlier on top: a structured framework for tracking the metabolic, hormonal, and inflammatory trends that shift in the years before a screening test turns positive. In practice, that includes:

  • Advanced lab panels that go beyond basic chemistries such as ApoB and Lp(a) for cardiovascular risk, fasting insulin and HOMA-IR for metabolic trajectory, hsCRP for inflammation, comprehensive thyroid and hormone panels when indicated.
  • Screening data interpreted longitudinally rather than as isolated snapshots, so trends become visible across visits.
  • Early identification of physiologic drift, the slow shifts that precede disease,so intervention happens while it’s still largely lifestyle-based, reversible, and low-risk.
  • A sequenced strategy across nutrition, metabolic health, hormone balance, sleep, stress, and movement, coordinated by one physician rather than fragmented across specialists.

Halo doesn’t order tests reflexively. Over-testing is a known failure mode in wellness medicine, and we actively avoid it. Advanced panels are ordered when a member’s history, symptoms, and baseline actually warrant them, and the cost is reviewed before anything is sent to the lab.

What This Is Not

A few clarifications, because expectations matter:

  • This is not 24/7 access, on-call concierge medicine, or an emergency-care substitute.
  • This is not a “test everything” model. Advanced labs are ordered when results will change the plan, not as a routine flex.
  • This is not insurance. Membership covers the relationship and the time and access associated with it; labs, imaging, specialist referrals, advanced diagnostics, regenerative procedures, and aesthetic services are billed separately.
  • This is not a sick-care subscription. If primary care and same-day appointments are the entire reason you’re considering concierge medicine, there are practices built specifically around that – and they may be a better fit than we are.

Halo is built for patients who want one physician-led relationship that holds primary care, prevention, and integrative medicine together, not for patients looking primarily for fast access to traditional sick care.

Schedule a Discovery Consult

If you want a concierge primary care relationship that includes the integrative and longevity layer most don’t, the place to start is a conversation. A complimentary discovery consult is the simplest way to see whether the model fits where you are and where you want to go.

Safety

Routine concierge primary care services including exams, blood draws, immunizations when appropriate, and minor in-office procedures, carry only the usual minor risks: brief discomfort or bruising at a blood-draw site, occasional lightheadedness during or after the draw, mild skin irritation from EKG leads, and rare mild reactions to vaccines or medications. These typically resolve within a day or two without intervention.

Membership does not replace emergency care under any circumstance. Anyone experiencing chest pain, signs of stroke, severe injury, severe shortness of breath, suicidal thoughts, or any other potential emergency should call 911 or go directly to the nearest emergency department.

Contact the clinic during office hours for clinical questions, lab follow-up, or new symptoms that don’t require emergency evaluation. The weekend sick-care window is available for urgent but non-emergency clinical issues. Seek emergency care immediately for any symptom that feels severe, sudden, or progressively worsening.

FAQs

How is Halo concierge primary care different from a standard concierge primary care practice?

Most concierge primary care practices replicate a standard primary care experience with a smaller patient panel, longer visits, and easier access. Halo includes that, then layers integrative, longevity-focused medicine on top. Members receive advanced lab work interpreted longitudinally, structured tracking of metabolic, hormonal, and inflammatory trends, and a unified strategy that ties primary care, prevention, and proactive long-term planning into one relationship. Primary care and sick visits are the foundation, not the headline.

Will Halo replace my current primary care doctor?

For most members, yes. Halo operates as your physician-led primary care, covering annual exams, chronic condition management, sick visits, and routine preventive screening. If you have an established specialist relationship you want to keep, we coordinate with that specialist rather than duplicate their work.

How does same-day or next-day access actually work?

When members reach the practice during office hours (Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.) with an acute clinical concern, we work to offer same-day or next-day appointments depending on the schedule and the clinical situation. A weekend sick-care window operates from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. on Saturdays and Sundays via dedicated voicemail; messages are reviewed and returned by a provider when clinically appropriate. Halo does not provide 24/7 access or emergency coverage.

Do you take insurance?

Halo is a membership-based practice. The membership fee provides access to our practice, clinical team, and the structured, relationship-based care model that defines Halo.

We do bill insurance for eligible provider visits when applicable. However, the membership fee itself is not billed to insurance and is paid directly by the member.

Advanced specialty labs, regenerative treatments, aesthetic services, supplements, wellness products, and certain optimization-focused services are considered out-of-pocket expenses and are not typically covered by insurance. Standard screening labs and medically necessary testing may be billable through insurance depending on your individual plan and coverage.

We believe in full transparency and review costs with patients before ordering labs, testing, or treatments whenever possible.

Do I have to engage with the integrative side, or can I use Halo just for primary care?

You can use Halo for primary care alone. The integrative work isn’t required, and we won’t push it. That said, the model is designed to integrate the two, and most members find that the integrative layer is what makes membership worth it over time. If primary care is the only thing you want, a standard concierge primary care practice is likely a better and more cost-effective fit.

Why does Halo run labs that aren’t standard?

Standard primary care lab panels (CBC, basic metabolic panel, lipid panel, fasting glucose) are designed to detect disease that has already started. Halo adds markers – ApoB, fasting insulin, hsCRP, and others when clinically indicated – to track physiology that shifts before standard tests turn positive. The goal is to catch drift while it’s still reversible, not to test for the sake of testing.

What does membership cost, and what’s included?

Membership is structured around continuity, defined access, and longitudinal care. Specific fee tiers and inclusions are detailed on our membership page. As a baseline: membership covers the clinical relationship, not separate services like advanced labs, imaging, regenerative procedures, or aesthetics, which are billed separately.
